To Dream Again

Long have I dreamed,
But been in denial,
Refusing to believe that I, out of all people,
Am a dreamer.

The rhythm of my soul,
The beat of the drum of my heart,
I realised that I’ve been a fool to ignore it,
A fool in denial.

A spell as simple as the words,
With which it was spoken,
Shattered my delusions and once again lit hope,
In a tired heart.

All it took,
To attach the hook,
Was a name,
A name that brought back the possibility to dream again.
