It Dawned Upon Me.

When time suddenly slowed to a halt, so did I. I looked up and realised what was transpiring. Dawn. Before my eyes the swirling mist rose from the ground and performed its dance of greeting. Why are we always so occupied by the trivial things in our lives that we forget how magical something so ordinary as the rising sun can be? I stood there, awestruck, for how long I do not know. I was trapped in a transition, a moment of change. It was in that metamorphosis of night into day that I found it. I closed my eyes.
