“Northwind embrace me
as I face the horizon
carry me safe ashore
as you did my brethren of yore”

This song by Falconer speaks to me, more so of late than before. Falconer is a Swedish band I’m surprised not more people know of. Their more recent work are interpretations of folk music sung in Swedish, but you can easily find translations of the lyrics online if not on youtube.

I’m struggling with a couple of things in my life at the moment. Then again, who doesn’t at some point or another? I guess it’s only natural to seek refuge in the familiar.

“We’re sailing dark waters
come raven come and be our guide.
We’re sons of the north star
so blow wind blow, onwards we will ride”
